Technician Staff

• Tamara

I began working at Commonwealth Animal Hospital in August of 2007, and have enjoyed my position ever since then. Before Commonwealth, I had worked in the veterinary field since 2002. I currently live in Lucia which is just outside of Charlotte. In my off time I enjoy spending time with my son Zach, who is my “little sidekick,” and helping him with his hobbies. We are very involved with Boy Scouts, and regularly go camping and participate in community service projects. I currently have 3 cats; Scooter, Mickey and Mika, and a rescued Pomeranian mix named Biscuit. I look forward to continuing to help you and your pets when you visit us at Commonwealth Animal Hospital.

I have been at Commonwealth Animal Hospital since May ’08. I literally grew up in an animal hospital because both of my parents are veterinarians. I live in NoDa with my husband and our 3 four-legged children, two adorable orange tabbies and an awesome german shepherd! I am pursuing a biology major at UNC-Charlotte and plan to study veterinary medicine. I greatly appreciate the experience I am gaining by working here and getting to know all of you and your pets!

• Cassidy

I recently joined Commonwealth Animal Hospital after moving to Charlotte from Florida. Some of my family lives in Charlotte, and I enjoy being close to them. I have 2 dogs (Faith and Nala), whom I adore. I gained valuable experience working at an animal hospital in Spring Hill, FL, and in the Cardiology department at a specialty facility in Ft. Myers, FL. I worked at these clinics as I took classes in the biology program at the Florida Gulf Coast University. Even living in the city, I enjoy caring for and riding my 3 horses. I look forward to taking care of your pets as if they were one of mine.

Reception Staff

• Leslie

I began working at Commonwealth Animal Hospital in August 2011. Before my current position I worked with a special needs child for 4 years and helped him with his daily routine at school. I also have worked with other children in educational settings. I am the proud mother of a beautiful, precious, talented and smart twelve year old girl named Zoe. My daughter loves animals as much as I, and thus we have a houseful of pets; consisting of cats, dogs, pet rats, a guinea pig and a fish. With all of this in my life, there certainly is never a dull moment. I love working in the yard, hiking with my daughter and dogs, listening to music, dancing, and hanging out with family and friends. I love my job as a receptionist and I adore every single pet that comes through the door. I look forward to many years of interacting with you and your beloved pets.

• Crystal

Originally from the Washington D.C. area, my family and I moved down here to NC in the summer of 2001. I worked at various animal hospitals after graduating high school and managed a tanning salon briefly, all of which provided valuable experiences that led me to Commonwealth Animal Hospital in Oct 2012. My family consists of my teacup Chihuahua (Darla) and Italian Greyhound (Gracie). While socializing, scrap-booking and spending quality time with my family are some of my favorite things to do, I spend a lot of my free time pet sitting and grooming. As part of the reception staff, I look forward to welcoming you and your pet into the clinic.

Kennel Staff

I was born and raised in Concord, NC, and still live there currently.  I attended and graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School.  I have been with Commonwealth Animal Hospital since 2005 and now serve as Kennel Manager.  My passion is working with animals.  I have 6 dogs and 1 bird of my own.  I have little free time, but when I do,  I find myself spending it with my family, playing softball, and riding horses.
